Tempered Glass
Tempered glass is thermally toughened to provide enhanced mechanical strength and safety.
Key Features:
-
Manufacturing process: Rapid air quenching after heating to ~700°C, inducing internal stress for high thermal and mechanical strength
-
Improved Resistance:
-
Mechanical: 5–6 times stronger than annealed glass
-
Thermal: Resists thermal shocks up to 200°C (vs. 40°C for annealed glass)
-
-
Safety: Breaks into small, blunt fragments upon impact
Specifications:
-
Treatable thickness: 3 mm to 25 mm
-
