M3 Mirror Glass

M3 Mirror Glass reflect part of the visible light spectrum, perfect for applications like fireplaces, stoves, or heating systems.

Manufacturing Process:

  • Sol-gel immersion for high-performance thin-film coatings

Dimensions:

  • Substrates & Thicknesses:

    • BOROFLOAT: 1.1 – 3.3 mm (±0.2 mm)

    • ROBAX: 3.0 – 5.0 mm

  • Max Size:

    • Raw: 1150 x 850 mm

    • Treated: 1080 x 800 mm

  • Cutting service available

Technical Specs:

  • Coating Thickness: 0.05–1 µm (requires careful handling to avoid abrasions)

  • Chemical Resistance: Water-resistant (1 hour), withstands diluted acids/bases at room temperature

  • Cleaning: Alcohol-based solvents recommended

  • Thermal Resistance: Up to 450°C (short duration)

  • Abrasion Resistance: Compliant with MIL-C 48497 (moderate conditions)

  • Adhesion & Humidity: MIL-C 48497 compliant (tested at 50°C, 95% RH for 24h)

  • Surface Defects: Per DIN 3140, flaws <0.25 mm not considered defects for 100x100 mm² area

  • Optical Specs:

    • Standard M3 transmission spectrum (ROBAX substrate)

    • Max reflection (R max): 515 nm ± 10 nm (others on request)
